This wine captivates with a rich and enchanting aromatic palette: intense notes of blackberry, of blackcurrant and of black cherry, subtly enhanced by accents of sweet spices, of liquorice and a hint of toasted vanilla. 

On the palate, the attack is ample and velvety, offering a beautiful enveloping tannic structure. The aromas of ripe fruits harmonise perfectly with nuances of cocoa, of roasted coffee and of noble wood. 

Food and wine pairing

Château Balestard La Tonnelle 2018 pairs ideally with refined dishes such as a herb-crusted lamb rack, a beef fillet in pastry or a roast guinea fowl with mushrooms.
