Tasting notes
Intense color with a black core, like a cherry. Nose with grilled and charcoal notes. Oak is dominant, but many black fruit aromas are underlying.
The tannins are fine and elegant, with a medium finish and a peppery note.
Food and wine pairing
This wine pairs well with red meats such as beef, lamb, or duck. For example, a grilled steak, leg of lamb, or duck breast.
Hard or blue-veined cheeses, such as Comté, aged Gouda, or Roquefort, can also be excellent accompaniments.
